How do you write a strong BAC English essay in 250 words?
Correction
(1) Plan first — 5 minutes. Write your thesis, 2-3 arguments, conclusion point. (2) Introduction (40 words): hook + context + thesis statement. (3) Body paragraphs (150 words): 2-3 paragraphs, each with topic sentence + evidence + analysis. (4) Conclusion (40 words): restate thesis differently + broader implication. (5) Proofread (5 min): check tenses, subject-verb agreement, spelling, word count. Use discourse markers throughout: furthermore, however, consequently, in conclusion.
How do you approach a reading comprehension text you find difficult?
Correction
(1) Read the questions FIRST — they tell you what to look for. (2) Skim the text for the main idea (first and last paragraphs are key). (3) Scan for specific information needed by each question. (4) For vocabulary questions: use context clues (words around the unknown word). (5) Answer in full sentences unless instructed otherwise. (6) Always use your own words — do not copy whole sentences from the text. (7) Check your answers refer to the text, not general knowledge.
